Terms and Conditions

Article 1: General Provisions

1.1 Scope of Application

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set forth the rights and obligations between users ("Customers") and MiteConnect Inc. ("Company") regarding the use of the website "NANIKOKO" (https://nanikoko.com/) and related services ("Services") operated by the Company.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms

By using the Services, Customers are deemed to have agreed to all provisions of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.

1.3 Amendment of Terms

The Company may amend these Terms as necessary. The amended Terms shall take effect when posted on the Company's website. If Customers continue to use the Services after the amendment, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

Article 2: Service Content

2.1 Services Provided

The Company provides the following services:

  1. Travel Concierge Service: Travel guidance and support services for foreign visitors to Japan
  2. Real Estate Research Service: Research and information provision services for real estate in Japan
  3. Product Sales Service: Individual sales of Japanese domestic products
  4. Subscription Box Service: Regular delivery service of Japanese products
  5. Booking Agency Service: Booking agency for restaurants, beauty salons, and other facilities

2.2 Nature of Services

The Company's services are intended for information provision, support, product sales, and booking agency, and do not constitute travel business under the Travel Business Act or real estate business under the Building Lots and Buildings Transaction Business Act.

Article 3: Travel Concierge Service

3.1 Service Content

  1. Provision of customized maps tailored to customers' preferences
  2. Chat support by dedicated concierges (from purchase to end of application period)
  3. Booking agency for restaurants, hotels, activities, etc.
  4. Introduction and booking agency for medical institutions in emergencies
  5. Support during accidents and disasters

3.2 Support System

  1. Regular Support: 24-hour chat support by dedicated concierges (1-2 people). Response time is within 24 hours for non-emergency situations before travel, and within 1 hour during travel.
  2. Emergency Support: In case of illness, accidents, disasters, etc., we provide introduction and booking agency for medical institutions that can accommodate foreign travelers, and other necessary support.

3.3 Booking Agency Service

The Company will provide booking agency services to third parties upon Customer's request. However, the success of bookings cannot be guaranteed due to the circumstances of the booking destinations.

3.4 Accuracy of Information

The Company provides information (business hours, prices, etc.) after prior confirmation. However, we are not responsible for changes after information provision. Customers are requested to confirm on-site at their own discretion.

Article 4: Real Estate Research Service

4.1 Service Content

  1. On-site research of real estate in Japan
  2. Provision of detailed reports using proprietary research forms
  3. Property viewing agency (first time free within Tokyo's 23 wards, paid from second time and outside 23 wards)
  4. Provision of basic information about Japan's real estate market conditions and regulations

4.2 Nature of Research

  1. The Company does not engage in real estate brokerage business and conducts neutral research from the customer's perspective.
  2. Research results are reported based on actual photos and administrative documents as evidence.
  3. We do not provide information based on speculation or conjecture.

4.3 Disclaimer of Investment Advice

This service is intended solely for information provision and does not provide investment advice or investment recommendations. Investment decisions should be made at the customer's own responsibility.

4.4 Research Target Areas

There are no regional restrictions within Japan. However, for property viewing agency outside Tokyo, separate transportation costs will be charged.

Article 5: Product Sales Service

5.1 Product Sales

The Company sells Japanese domestic food products (cup noodles, confectionery, tea powder, etc.) and other products individually.

5.2 Nature of Products

  1. The Company is a retailer that purchases and sells products sold in Japan and does not manufacture products.
  2. Please check the information displayed by the manufacturer regarding expiration dates, storage methods, allergy information, etc.
  3. We will answer product inquiries to the extent possible, but please contact the manufacturer for details.

5.3 Shipping

  1. Products are shipped by shipping companies designated by the Company (mainly postal services).
  2. If it becomes clear after ordering that delivery is not possible due to import/export regulations of the destination country/region, we will promptly contact you and provide a full refund.
  3. Shipping costs are included in the product price, but customs duties and import taxes are the customer's responsibility.
  4. Shipping insurance is not included. Damage or loss during shipping will be handled through consultation with the shipping company.
  5. Since inventory is procured on demand, products may rarely be unavailable. In such cases, we will propose alternatives or provide refunds.

5.4 Returns and Exchanges

  1. Defective Products: If contacted within 7 days of product arrival, we will exchange or refund.
  2. Customer Convenience: Food products cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons.
  3. Shipping Accidents: Alternative products will be arranged or refunds provided at the shipping company's responsibility.

Article 6: Subscription Box Service

6.1 Service Content

The Subscription Box is a service that regularly delivers carefully selected Japanese products to customers.

6.2 Delivery Frequency and Content

  1. Please check the details of each subscription plan for delivery frequency and product content.
  2. Product content is selected by the Company and individual advance notice is not provided.

6.3 Subscription Changes and Cancellation

  1. Customers can change or cancel subscriptions at any time from the My Account page.
  2. Cancellation procedures must be completed 7 days before the next scheduled delivery date.
  3. The subscription contract period is a maximum of 6 months and will automatically end after 6 months.

6.4 Fees and Payment

  1. Subscription fees are monthly and automatically charged each month.
  2. Initial and continuing fees are the same amount.
  3. Payment methods and specific fees are as described on each plan page.

Article 7: Booking Agency Service

7.1 Service Content

The Company makes reservations on behalf of customers for the following facilities:

  1. Restaurants
  2. Beauty salons
  3. Other facilities that the Company can handle

7.2 Booking Procedures

  1. Customers enter desired store, date, time, number of people, etc. on the Company's website and pay the agency fee.
  2. The Company's Japanese staff will make reservation procedures by phone, etc. on behalf of customers.
  3. After reservation completion, reservation details will be notified to customers.

7.3 Success of Reservations

  1. The success of reservations is determined by the convenience of the reservation destination stores, so the Company does not guarantee successful reservations.
  2. If reservations cannot be made, the agency fee will be fully refunded.
  3. When alternative proposals are possible, we will respond in consultation with customers.

7.4 Reservation Changes and Cancellations

  1. Changes and cancellations after reservation completion may incur additional agency fees.
  2. Cancellations on the day or the day before may incur store cancellation fees.
  3. In case of store-initiated reservation cancellations, agency fees will be refunded.

7.5 Scope of Booking Agency Responsibility

  1. The Company only provides booking procedure agency and does not include dining costs, service fees, etc. at reservation destinations.
  2. We are not responsible for troubles or service content at reservation destinations.
  3. We are responsible for damages due to reservation information transmission errors within the scope of the agency fee.

Article 8: Eligibility for Use

8.1 Age Restrictions

There are no age restrictions for those with payment ability. If minors use the service, please obtain parental consent.

8.2 Usage Restrictions

The following persons may not use the Services:

  1. Those who have violated these Terms
  2. Those belonging to antisocial forces
  3. Others deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 9: Fees and Payment

9.1 Fee Structure

Service fees are as described on each service page of the Company's website. Depending on the service, prepayment or postpayment systems are adopted, and additional fees may be charged depending on content.

9.2 Additional Fees

  1. Travel Concierge Service: Additional charges may apply if reservation fees are incurred at booking destinations.
  2. Real Estate Research Service: Property viewing agency fees, transportation costs outside the 23 wards, etc. will be charged separately.
  3. Product Sales Service: Additional shipping costs may apply depending on the destination.
  4. Booking Agency Service: Additional agency fees may apply for reservation changes/cancellations.
  5. Please inquire when purchasing services for details.

9.3 Payment Methods

Credit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal payments are accepted. Foreign currency payments are also accepted.

9.4 Fee Changes

The Company may change fees without prior notice. However, for services already applied for, the fees at the time of application will apply.

Article 10: Cancellation and Refunds

10.1 Cancellation Policy

Concierge Services and Real Estate Research Services

  1. Before Service Start (before initial contact): Full refund will be provided.
  2. After Service Start: Refunds are generally not available.
  3. Company-initiated Cancellation: Full refund will be provided.

Product Sales Service

  1. Before Product Shipment: Full refund will be provided.
  2. After Product Shipment: Follows return regulations in Article 5 (Product Sales Service).

Subscription Box Service

  1. Before Initial Delivery: Full refund will be provided.
  2. After Initial Delivery: Cancellation possible until 7 days before next scheduled delivery date.
  3. Delivered Products: Returns and exchanges follow return regulations in Article 5.

Booking Agency Service

  1. Before Reservation Completion: Full refund even after agency work has started.
  2. After Reservation Completion: Additional agency fees may apply following store cancellation policies.

10.2 Force Majeure Response

In cases where service provision becomes difficult due to force majeure such as natural disasters, epidemics, wars, terrorism, government travel restrictions, etc., we will provide service content changes or alternative proposals and determine responses through consultation with customers.

Article 11: Prohibited Acts

Customers may not engage in the following acts:

  1. Acts that violate laws and regulations
  2. Acts that infringe the rights of the Company or third parties
  3. Acts that interfere with service operations
  4. Providing false information
  5. Commercial resale of information
  6. Other acts deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 12: Limitation of Liability

12.1 Scope of Company Responsibility

  1. The Company provides information and online support and is not responsible for customers' on-site actions.
  2. The Company is not responsible for troubles at stores or facilities we propose.
  3. The Company is not responsible for losses from investments or other actions based on information provided by the Company.
  4. We are not responsible for damages due to product delivery delays, customs detention, etc., not attributable to the Company.
  5. For booking agency, we are not responsible for reservation success/failure or service content at reservation destinations.

12.2 Third-Party Service Troubles

When troubles occur with third-party services such as booking agency destinations, the Company will provide support to the extent possible, but may not be able to intervene depending on the trouble content.

12.3 Damage Limitation

The Company's liability for damages to customers is limited to the amount paid by customers to the Company.

12.4 Product and Shipping Liability Limitations

  1. In case of defective products, the Company's responsibility is limited to product price refunds or alternative product provision.
  2. We are not responsible when delivery is not possible due to import/export regulations.
  3. We are not responsible for damages from customs duties, import taxes, or delivery delays.
  4. Since shipping insurance is not included, shipping accident damages will be resolved through consultation with shipping companies.
  5. When products cannot be provided due to inventory procurement circumstances, we will respond with alternative proposals or refunds.

Article 13: Personal Information Handling

13.1 Purpose of Personal Information Use

The Company uses customers' personal information for the following purposes:

  1. Service provision
  2. Product sales and delivery
  3. Implementation of booking agency operations
  4. Responding to customer inquiries
  5. Analysis for service improvement
  6. Delivery of important notifications

13.2 Provision to Third Parties

The Company will not provide customers' personal information to third parties except when customer consent is obtained or required by law. However, information may be provided to booking destinations, shipping companies, etc. within the scope necessary for service provision.

13.3 Compliance with International Privacy Laws

The Company complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other international privacy law regulations and implements appropriate data protection measures.

Article 14: Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights related to the Services belong to the Company. Customers may not reproduce, distribute, publicly transmit, etc. the content of the Services without prior written consent from the Company.

Article 15: Service Changes and Discontinuation

The Company may change or discontinue service content without prior notice. Even if this causes damage to customers, the Company is not responsible. However, for products already paid for in product sales services, we will make efforts to deliver as much as possible.

Article 16: Usage Suspension and Contract Termination

16.1 Usage Suspension

If customers violate these Terms, the Company may suspend service usage without prior notice.

16.2 Contract Termination

In case of serious Terms violations, the Company may terminate contracts. In this case, refunds of already paid fees will not be provided.

16.3 Subscription Cancellation

For subscription services, customers may cancel at any time from the My Account page.

Article 17: Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Japanese law, and all disputes related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Article 18: Miscellaneous

18.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the complete agreement between the Company and customers regarding the use of the Services.

18.2 Severability

If any part of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of other provisions will not be affected.

18.3 Language

The authentic version of these Terms is the Japanese version, and in case of discrepancies between content with other language versions, the Japanese version will take precedence.

18.4 Display Based on Specified Commercial Transactions Act

For product sales services, the content described on the separate "Display Based on Specified Commercial Transactions Act" page also applies.
